The positions are part of a total 120,000 seasonal positions the online retailer is creating across 27 states in its U.S. network, at fulfillment centers, sortation centers and customer service sites.

Amazon has more than 4,000 full-time employees at its massive, 1.1 million-square-foot fulfillment center and 500,000-square-foot distribution center in Kenosha, which opened in June 2015. In April, the mega-retailer launched same-day delivery in Milwaukee.

There is a possibility the seasonal workers hired to keep up with holiday shopping could become full-time employees, Amazon said in a release. More than 14,000 seasonal employees transitioned to full-time after the holidays last year, and the company said it expects even more conversions this year.

More information about the seasonal jobs is available at Amazon.com/careers.
