Menomonee Falls-based Bradley Corp. has opened its first office outside the U.S. in Dubai.
The 430-square-foot sales office is located in the Dubai Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone in the United Arab Emirates. It will initially have just one employee, Middle East sales manager Mohamad Barakat, with plans to expand with additional support staff next spring.
Bradley Corp. has more than 550 employees at five locations in Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and California. It designs and manufactures commercial washroom and emergency safety products including plumbing fixtures and washroom accessories for the commercial, industrial, health care, retail and education markets around the world.
The new office has Bradley products such as lavatory systems, restroom partitions and industrial shower features on display.
“We have been selling into the Middle East region for over 20 years and I personally travel into the territory five or six times a year, as do the sales team,” said Jon Dommisse, director of global marketing and strategic development at Bradley. “To support our customers more effectively there, we believed it was going to be in everyone’s best interest if we had feet on the street there in the local economy.”
Dommisse said having a local presence in Dubai will allow Bradley to better serve its customers in Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Kuwait.
“The U.S.-made products are held in very high regard in many countries in the Middle East,” he said. “Dubai is the New York City of the Middle East. We really wanted to establish ourselves in a free trade zone there because we’re continuing to explore our global presence.”
