Froedtertโ€™s new chief medical officer holds multiple Ivy League degrees

A new chief medical officer will take over at Froedtert Hospital in August.

Dr. Andrew Resnick, chief quality officer and associate professor of surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania will assume the role Aug. 1, the hospital announced Thursday. He will also  serve as associate dean for clinical affairs-adult practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Resnick will replace Dr. Lee Biblo, who retires today. Biblo announced his decision to retire in July 2015.

Biblo has been Froedtertโ€™s chief medical officer since 2012 and joined the Medical College of Wisconsin as a faculty member in 2002.

Resnick has degrees from Dartmouth College, Yale University School of Medicine, completed his surgical residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned a masterโ€™s degree in business administration from Pennsylvaniaโ€™s The Wharton School.

At Froedtert, he will oversee medical staff, clinical research, quality and resource managmenet and inpatient facilities.
