The restrooms on the south end of the mall are receiving a complete transformation, including new flooring, fixtures and lighting and will be open by Thanksgiving.

The bridges on the south end of the mall are being removed. The change will create a “brighter and more open atmosphere,” Simon Property Group says.

New floor tile is being installed at mall entrances and corridors.

The mall will remain open during the renovation project, which is expected to be complete by late summer of 2012.

The new Macy’s store, in the former Younker’s store space at the south end of the mall, is expected to open by the spring of 2012.

A new H&M store opened at the mall recently.
