Businesses, entrepreneurs and the general public will meet to discuss the possibility of a community “Makers Space” in Waterford, Wis., where individuals can experiment with new ideas and innovators can unite to exchange information and advice.

The meeting is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Waterford Public Library, 101 N. River Street, and is free to attend.
“Waterford is the perfect community for a Makers Space,” said Dan Bowser, Waterford Chamber of Commerce ambassador. “A Maker’s Space is a place to go to try new ideas, learn from others and build community – sort of an innovative community think tank.”
The meeting will feature guest speaker James Carlson, who has developed community think tanks throughout the country like Milwaukee’s Bucketworks, located at 706 S. 5th Street.
