A groundbreaking ceremony was held today to celebrate the start of construction for the Land and Lakes at Mount Pleasant Business Park, located near the intersection of Highway 20 and International Drive in Mt. Pleasant.
The developer for the project is Rosemont, Ill.-based Land and Lakes Development Company.
The 60-acre parcel can accommodate up to four buildings, totaling 770,000 square feet.
The ceremony today celebrated the start of construction of the first building in the business park, which is 132,000 feet, and is expandable. The building will be available for occupancy by the end of the year.
“This is a unique development offering many amenities in an ideal location for new and existing businesses to grow and expand in Wisconsin,” said Gov. Scott Walker. “Located 15 minutes from General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee and less than one hour from O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Land and Lakes at Mount Pleasant Business Park has easy access to two major metropolitan areas.”
