Scheibel Halaska Inc., Milwaukee, recently added Kathryn Anderson as senior art director to the agency’s creative team. Prior to joining Scheibel Halaska, Anderson spent nine years in the Milwaukee office of Hanson Dodge Creative, most recently as managing art director. She has more than 11 years of experience designing creative projects for nationally-known clients; developing branding and marketing campaigns; and implementing integrated communication strategies.
Bader Rutter & Associates Inc., Milwaukee, recently promoted several associates. David Jordan has been promoted to team leader in the agency’s Account Management Group. He joined the agency in 2003 as an account executive. Lisa Balcerak has also been promoted to team leader. She joined the agency in 2002 as an account supervisor in the Public Relations Group. Colleen Grams has been named senior account executive in the Public Relations Group. She has been with Bader Rutter for three years.
NOISE, Inc., Milwaukee, has added two new individuals to its staff. Kimberley Parker joined as marketing leader and Lori Sansoucie joined as public relations director. Parker comes to NOISE from WCI Communities in Florida where she held the position of development/marketing manager. Sansoucie has two years of experience in public relations.
Lisa Pipia recently joined Creatonomy Marketing Communications, Milwaukee, as an account executive. Pipia brings health care and insurance marketing expertise to the agency. She previously worked with Boston-based John Hancock Financial Services Inc., where she served as the production lead, managing the development of marketing materials for its long-term care insurance products.
Building & Construction
Mortenson Construction, headquartered in Minneapolis, recently added two employees to its Brookfield office staff. Joe Ngaima was added as an estimator and Joyce Rizzo as a project administrative assistant.
Design
KSK Design, Milwaukee, recently named Chuck Brunelli an interactive art director. In this position he is responsible for the interactive division of KSK Design including websites, CD-Roms and interactive kiosks. He comes to KSK from Whittman-Hart Interactive, Chicago, where he served as a senior designer.
Education
Arnold Mitchem, an internationally recognized advocate of educational opportunity for students who are economically disadvantaged or disabled, has been appointed as the newest member of the Marquette University Board of Trustees. Mitchem is an alumnus, former faculty member and former administrator at Marquette. He served on the university’s history faculty in the 1960s and was director of the Educational Opportunity Program from 1969 to 1986.
Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, recently named Michael Uden the dean of the School of Education at the University. In this position, Uden will be responsible for overseeing the School of Education, its 25 full-time faculty and staff, and over 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students. Uden previously served as assistant professor of Education at Concordia.
Health Care
Dr. Todd Gudausky, has been appointed assistant professor of pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, and to the medical staff of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa. Dr. Gudausky comes to the Medical College from West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he was an assistant professor of pediatrics and medicine.
Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin recently named Lori Plahmer director of emergency services. In this newly created role, Plahmer will provide leadership for the Emergency Department/Trauma Center, transport services, Children’s Urgent Care and the Wisconsin Poison Center. Plahmer previously served as manager of quality and risk management, and manager of in-patient nursing, at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County in Two Rivers.

Integrated Risk Solutions, Inc., Pewaukee, recently named Rob Loppnow as account executive. Loppnow brings 17 years of financial service sales experience to the firm.

Columbia Grinding, Inc., Oak Creek, recently hired Richard Stewart as a quality manager. Rick has been in manufacturing for over 28 years, with the majority of time spent in quality management.

WUWM 89.7 FM Milwaukee Public Radio recently announced that Tom May was promoted to manager of broadcast operations and Michelle Matternowski joined WUWM as a web marketing specialist.
Professional Organizations
The Arthritis Foundation, Wisconsin Chapter in West Allis, recently elected Dr. Justina Tseng, a board certified rheumatologist with Lakeshore Rheumatology in Glendale, and Jacob Miota, a member of the Litigation Practice Group at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, Milwaukee, to serve on its board of directors. The chapter has also elected Dr. Lee Tyne to the position of chairman of the board. The American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) has named Tim Sonntag, vice president of quality and technical services for Wixon, Inc., St. Francis, the new chairperson of its Government Relations committee. Sonntag had previously served on ASTA’s board of directors, and as the chairperson of its Executive Technical committee.

Mark Krause, president of Krause Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Inc., Milwaukee, has been elected president of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA). The organization represents 7,200 cemeteries, funeral homes, crematories, memorial designers and related businesses worldwide. Krause will represent the organization on a national and global level helping to set an agenda and establish initiatives to move the association and the funeral/cemetery profession forward.
Stay-Lite Lighting, Pewaukee, recently added three people to its team. Frank Rozman Jr. joined the company’s operations management team as the service technician manager, Mike Conner will serve as purchasing and warehouse manager at the company, and Kirk Fisch joined the operations management team as its service coordinator.
Social Services
Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS), Milwaukee, announced that Melanie Hersch has joined the agency as the older adults services outreach coordinator. Hersch previously served as a field interviewer for two federally funded studies, and was also the JFS volunteer services director from 2004 to 2005.
