Officials from the city of Milwaukee, WHEDA, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Economic Development Corp. and other agencies broke ground on King Commons II on Tuesday. The project is building single-family homes, a duplex and several multi-unit buildings on five sites along 2nd and 4th Streets, King Drive and West Hadley Street. One of the buildings on King Drive will also include about 2,200 square feet of retail space.
