Le Macaron will open a franchise location at The Corners of Brookfield next year.
The 1,031-square-foot pastry shop will be situated in between DAVIDsTEA and Scout & Molly’s on the northeast side of the shopping center. It will open in spring as the second bakery-cafe on that block, joining Chicago-based Goddess and the Baker.
Le Macaron sells European-style coffee and a variety of French pastries and sweets, including macarons, cakes, gelato and house-made candies.
Its Corners of Brookfield location is the first step into the Wisconsin market for the Sarasota, Florida-based company, which currently has 62 locations open and in the works in 15 states, according to its website.
“Le Macaron, with its unique product line and trendy boutique aesthetic, is the perfect addition to our vibrant town center,” said Robert Gould, vice president of U.S. operations at IM Properties. “We are thrilled to bring yet another first-to-Wisconsin tenant to this community.”
The patisserie is best known for its handcrafted macarons, which are
available in 20 flavors, including basil white chocolate, lemon cream, strawberry key lime and chocolate praline.
“We are excited to open our first Wisconsin location at The Corners of Brookfield,” said Malory Guyony, owner of Le Macaron. “Our pastry shop will bring a European oasis to the area and we can’t wait to serve our new community members next year.”
The Corners of Brookfield, which
opened in April 2017, is comprised of 400,000 square feet of high-end retail and restaurant space, 244 luxury apartments and parking for more than 1,700 cars. It now houses an
entertainment corridor, with other tenants including an Arhaus furniture store, Café Hollander restaurant, the Lake Country Social restaurant and an Improv comedy venue, which is expected to open in early 2020.
