The City of Milwaukee Arts Board has called for applications for its 2016 Project Grants, which award matching funds for arts programming and education to eligible arts organizations.
MAB seeks nonprofit arts organization applicants that administer arts programs, exhibits or performances for the Milwaukee public, either free or for an admission fee. The nonprofit must have an administrative office in the City of Milwaukee.
The Arts Board will hold grant writing workshops on Wednesday, Feb. 3 and Thursday, Feb. 11 to provide assistance to applicants. The postmark deadline for the applications is March 7. More information and applications are available on its website.
Last year, MAB awarded $213,500 to 33 organizations. Among the projects funded with the grants were “The Ballad of Emmett Till” by Renaissance Theaterworks and the bilingual Spanish “Puente” project by Ex Fabula.
