Two prominent companies will move their area offices to the new 833 East
office building in downtown Milwaukee.

will move its office from Pewaukee, in Two Riverwood Place
at N19 W24133 Riverwood Dr., and will lease 8,000 square feet on the 8th floor of the office building at 833 E. Michigan St. downtown.
Lubar & Co.
, a private investment firm that currently leases space in the First Financial Centre, located at 700 N. Water in downtown Milwaukee, will lease 6,700 square feet on the 15th floor of 833 East.
The First Financial Centre was sold in August for $4.6
million to Missouri-based Drury Southwest, Inc. The company is considering plans to convert the underused 14-story office building into a 200-room Drury Hotel.

The news that Pewaukee-based Microsoft Corp. is relocating to downtown Milwaukee follows the recent trend of suburban companies moving to the downtown Milwaukee area
Last week, Fond du Lac-based Badger Liquor announced
it would move 100 office workers from West Allis to the Schlitz Park complex near downtown Milwaukee.
New York-based Monster Worldwide Inc., plans to move its office from Brown Deer Road on the northwest side of Milwaukee to the 330 Kilbourn office
Brookfield-based marketing firm Bader Rutter will move
to the former Laacke & Joys site along the Milwaukee River next year and will bring 220 employees downtown and Decision Resources Group signed a lease
earlier this year to move its Greenfield office to the 411 E. Wisconsin building, bringing 200 people to downtown Milwaukee.
As of this week, 833 East is about 80 percent leased. The 18-story, 358,000-square-foot building opened in March.
In August, First American Title Insurance Co. moved into the 833 East building
, relocating from the ASQ building downtown and in December, PricewaterhouseCoopers will move from 100 E. Wisconsin Ave. and occupy the entire 12th floor.
Milwaukee law firm Godfrey & Kahn S.C. is the anchor tenant in the 833 East building, leasing 77,817 square feet of space. Irgens occupies 25,328 square feet; Colliers leases 20,422 square feet; Jason Inc. leases 26,043 square feet
; Johnson Controls Inc.’s automotive spinoff, Adient, occupies the 11th floor
, leasing 26,089 square feet.
Other tenants include KPMG LLP
, Rhinelander-based Heck Capital Advisors LLC, Grace Matthews, First American, Travel Associates, Cresa and Catalyst Construction.
Madison-based Noble Chef Hospitality opened Rare Steakhouse
on the ground floor of the building June 4.
