The vice president and creative director for Nike’s Art Department will speak at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design on March 3 about connecting with consumers and creating a graphic voice.
The speaker, Nike’s Heather Amuny-Dey, will headline MIAD’s March 3 Creativity Series, which began in 2012 and features presentations from well-known creatives from a wide range of visual arts disciplines.
Amuny-Dey is in charge of a team “of over 100 designers who create the narratives, content, branding and art across the spectrum of industry-leading Nike products,” MIAD representatives wrote in a statement.
She will be joined by two MIAD alumni who also work in Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike’s creative department: Steve Green (class of 2001) and Jeremy Pettis (class of 2007).
Green is art director of apparel and footware for Nike’s skateboarding line. Pettis is the graphic designer for Nike’s “Style Incubator” Emotion of Sport apparel line.
The presentation will be on the fourth floor of MIAD’s building at 273 E. Erie St. from 6 – 7 p.m.
