“Poke lovers in Milwaukee will quickly come to find that Pokéworks is substantially different than your typical fast-casual restaurant,” he said in a statement. “Our genuinely fresh ingredients, responsibly-sourced seafood and chef-curated sauces, paired with the unique demographic of the Milwaukee community makes Pokéworks the destination for fresh, fast and reliable food.”
Since its 2015 founding, Pokeworks has grown to operate more than 30 existing locations throughout the country, with an equal amount projected to open by end of 2020, according to its website.
The grand opening celebration for the Brookfield location will include a day-long buy-one-get-one-free special, giveaways and prizes, and free Pokeworks branded coconuts for the first 50 people in line.
Pokeworks is open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. The poke trend has taken the Milwaukee area by storm during the past couple of years. Milwaukee-based FreshFin Poke was the first poke restaurant to open in the area in January 2017, and has since expanded its East Side location to Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward and to The Corners of Brookfield. Other poke restaurants that have opened in the area include Fusion Poke on the East Side, Aloha Poke in the Third Ward, and R&R Poke in Wauwatosa.
