Milwaukee-based von Briesen & Roper, s.c., recently announced that Randy S. Nelson was appointed to the Business Planning Committee of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) for 2017-2018. The Business Planning Committee focuses on planning techniques for owners of closely-held businesses.
Nelson is a Shareholder in the Milwaukee office focusing on estate planning, family business planning, tax planning, trust administration and probate. He is a Certified Public Accountant and an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School, where he has been teaching estate planning for over 25 years.
The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a nonprofit association of lawyers and law professors skilled and experienced in the preparation of wills and trusts; estate planning; and probate procedure and administration of trusts and estates of decedents, minors and incompetents. The most important business of ACTEC is performed by its committees and State Chairs.
