Michael Best and Friedrich welcomes Ram P. Menon to the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group as Senior Counsel. Menon brings more than 20 years of combined legal, technical and business experience to the firm.
Menon’s practice draws upon his broad background in patent prosecution, licensing and IP transactions, including leading the deal team at Research In Motion Limited in the $4.5 Billion acquisition of Nortel’s patent portfolio by the Rockstar Consortium.
Education: Menon received his J.D. in Intellectual Property Law from the William Mitchell College of Law in 2006, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1993 and B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharatidasan University in 1990. Most recently, Menon received an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2013.
