Patricia S. Algiers

Chemistry in Place, Shorewood, has announced that President Patricia S. Algiers received the Spirit of Shorewood award from the Village of Shorewood for her exceptional volunteer efforts and dedication to the community.

Honored for her passionate volunteerism, Algiers gives whole-heartedly of her time, energy and resources to several different organizations in Shorewood. She is an active member of the board of directors for the Shorewood Business Improvement District and on the Public Arts Committee through which she chaired The Ghost Train. Algiers was instrumental in bringing The Ghost Train to Shorewood. In addition, she was one of the founding chairpersons of Plein Air Shorewood and on the selection committee for the Plensa in Atwater Park. Her company, Chemistry in Place, has been actively involved on a pro bono basis in supporting art in Shorewood.
