Melissa Karis, previously a senior accountant, has been promoted to an audit manager at Brookfield-based Vrakas CPAs + Advisors. She was brought in as an intern in Spring 2010 and joined the firm’s professional staff in 2011 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Masters of Professional Accountancy. Karis is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She resides in Brookfield.
