Katherine C. Hinkle

Katherine C. Hinkle has joined Michael Best as an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.
Hinkle helps clients navigate real estate matters including financing, leasing, and acquisitions and dispositions. She works with lenders to negotiate and document financing transactions, and advises businesses and private equity firms on the purchase and sale of companies with significant real estate assets.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Hinkle practiced in the Chicago office of an international firm, where she represented lenders in CMBS and balance sheet loans on hospitality, self-storage, and retail properties, and assisted businesses with mergers and acquisitions involving real estate properties.
“Katie is an excellent addition to the firm’s Real Estate practice,” says Bret Roge, Chair of Michael Best’s Corporate and Transactional Practice Group. “Her experience with a variety of lending, purchase, and sale matters in this industry will greatly benefit the firm’s present and future clients.”
Hinkle received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was Executive Editor of the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. She also received her M.A. in Teaching and Social Studies Education from Boston University School of Education, and her B.A., cum laude, in History from Boston University College of Arts and Science.
