Foley & Lardner LLP has announced that Jennifer Van Wie has joined the firm as special counsel and environmental business attorney. She will advise clients on state and federal environmental regulations and laws concerning air, water and land pollution.
Prior to joining Foley, Van Wie served as assistant attorney general with the Environmental Bureau of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
She has experience working on matters related to the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Ms. Van Wie has focused her practice exclusively on environmental issues for more than 13 years.
Van Wie graduated from Vermont Law School with a law degree as well as a Master of Studies in Environmental Law. She completed her undergraduate studies in public policy at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University.
