Héctor Colón will join the Lutheran Social Services leadership team in July 2017. As President and CEO, Héctor Colón will work with LSS board, staff and partners to propel the organization forward by focusing on employee engagement, innovation and strategic partnerships.
Héctor has been recognized for his ability to establish effective strategic partnerships to address complex issues affecting people, systems and communities. Before joining LSS, Héctor served as the director of the Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services. There, he was responsible for developing award-winning programs that engaged employees, impacted thousands of lives throughout the community and made a positive impact on the county’s bottom line. Hector is passionate about changing lives in both his work and family life – volunteering at his church, mentoring in the Latino community and serving on multiple nonprofit/advisory boards.
