Dave Merrick

Mortensen, Milwaukee,  has hired Dave Merrick as a development executive. In his new role, Merrick will advance the strategic vision for development opportunities for Mortenson’s Wisconsin operations.

Prior to joining Mortenson Development, Merrick most recently spearheaded developments for Greywolf Partners, Inc. as a principal, and previously led development efforts for Irgens as a vice president/market manager. Merrick’s 23-year tenure as a developer spans multiple industry sectors including office, industrial, retail, and medical office buildings. He has been involved in major local developments totaling more than 2.6 million square feet.

“We are excited to welcome Dave to the Mortenson team,” said Scott Heberlein, vice president and general manager of Mortenson. “His impressive experience within project development locally and his strong development network have positioned Dave as a leader, ready to advance the strategic development vision and direction for Mortenson throughout Wisconsin.”

Mortenson’s real estate development group dates back more than 40 years and has been developing notable projects throughout the United States. Merrick’s addition to the Milwaukee team positions Mortenson as a firm who can provide comprehensive turn-key solutions including site identification, tenant procurement, financial feasibility, debt and equity financing, government entitlements, and design and construction oversite.

Merrick received his master’s of urban planning from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and his bachelor’s of science degree in economics and urban geography from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
