Christine Bessler

Aurora Health Care, the largest integrated health care system in Wisconsin, today announced the hiring of information technology leader Christine Bessler as senior vice president of IT business consultancy – partnerships. In this role, Christine will oversee strategy and planning of information technology to advance Aurora’s business strategy.

“More than ever, technology has tremendous power to positively impact patient care,” said Preston Simons, chief information officer for Aurora. “As Aurora leads the way in transforming how care is delivered, Christine’s expertise will be instrumental in ensuring we have the right technology resources in place to provide the high-quality, cost-efficient care our patients have come to expect of us.”

Prior to joining Aurora, Bessler was chief information officer with ProHealth Care, where she was responsible for all IT operations and enterprise project management. Bessler has more than 30 years of information systems and technology experience.

Bessler holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
