FedEx driver Brent Glasenapp of Milwaukee won a state title at the 2017 Wisconsin Truck Driving Championship held at the Waukesha Community Technical College campus. Glasenapp won in the Straight Truck division of the competition. Glasenapp’s TDC success has earned him the status of a “FedEx Ace” for his exemplary driving skills. As a state champion, he earned an opportunity to compete in the National Truck Driving Championships in Orlando, Florida, Aug. 8-12.
In addition to earning a state title, Glasenapp qualified to compete by driving accident free for at least one year. The state TDCs and the NTDC provide professional truck drivers an opportunity to demonstrate their driving skills and safety expertise. Championships encompass three parts – a challenging driving course, a pre-trip inspection and a written examination which covers vehicle operation and knowledge of federal safety regulations.
