Betsy Smith, CPA, MST, has been named the new President of Association Acumen, LLC. Smith succeeds Gail Bast, MBA, CAE, who will remain as Chief Executive Officer and Owner. Association Acumen is an award-winning accredited association management firm based in Menomonee Falls, WI. Bast founded Acumen in 2006 and will continue to act as company visionary and provide management oversight. Smith joined Acumen in 2013 and has served as Executive Vice President of Finance.
Smith is responsible for implementing strategic goals, managing day to day operations and maintaining customer service excellence. She oversees accounting, tax and audit functions at Acumen. She also serves as Consulting Director to several Acumen clients.
Education: Master’s in Taxation from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater
