James Broughton, previously a Tax Manager, has been promoted to a Tax Principal at Brookfield-based Vrakas CPAs + Advisors. Prior to joining Vrakas in 2010, Broughton spent three years working for a local CPA firm in the southeast region of the United States and four years serving as a tax accountant with a Big 4 firm. His primary responsibilities include tax planning and compliance for closely-held businesses. Broughton has extensive experience working with corporate entities, including consolidated corporations, multi-state and multi-national corporations and has a concentration of clients in the manufacturing, professional services, real estate and construction industries. Broughton is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is a current resident of Richfield, WI.
