Hunger Task Force wants you to ‘lend a helping ham’

Hunger Task Force wants to remind Milwaukeeans to remember the reason for the season earlier rather than later. Hunger Task Force is encouraging neighbors to Lend a Helping Ham.
In November, the Hunger Task Force kept track of the number of turkeys donated to the Hunger Task Force online and in person on its Turkey Ticker billboard along I-94. In December, the billboard will track the number of hams donated.
“Milwaukee is such a great city and we know how to take care of our own. Witnessing folks turn out by the car load to take care of their hungry neighbor is really special,” said Sherri Tussler, Hunger Task Force executive director. “I think watching the ‘Helping Ham’ numbers go up each day will add to the holiday spirit in town.”
Milwaukeeans can keep track of the number of hams donated by watching the billboard on I-94 or they can follow along and donate at www.hungertaskforce.com
