What you need to know to start a business
Apple and Microsoft both began in a garage by people who believed in the concept of home computers. However, how does one move from tinkering with an idea to opening a viable business that generates revenue, employees, and reaches international markets? If this is your dream, this workshop is a great place to start. The presentation is an overview of what’s necessary to start a small business in the 21st century and contains the fundamentals to achieve a successful launch.
Issues will include: What does the owner need to know, where to go for help and how to uncover the challenges. Questions and answers are a central part of workshop discussions with SCORE business mentors and other SCORE workshops will build upon these fundamentals.
Lynne Oehlke is SCORE Southeast Wisconsin Mentor and has been a CEO of two non-profit businesses.
