The Art & Science of Political Marketing
With the Democratic National Convention (DNC) coming to town in 2020, Milwaukee’s interest in and excitement surrounding politics is growing! The American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Milwaukee chapter is hosting two of the nation’s top political consultants at their next Expert Speaker Series luncheon so local marketing professionals can learn how their craft is plied in the political arena. The experts both happen to hail from the Badger State, albeit from different political parties.
Heather Colburn is the CEO of Run the World Digital. The political consultant and direct mail expert worked with clients like Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Mark Kelly, Amy Klobuchar, Amy McGrath and many more. Colburn has managed races, overseen campaigns, and raised money for progressive organizations and candidates all across America.
Brian Fraley is President and CEO of Edge Messaging. He’s been a political operative, lobbyist, journalist and talk show host. The political and business consultant focuses on message development, grassroots advocacy, public affairs and crisis management. Fraley was quoted last week in the New York Times on Wisconsin’s critical role in the 2020 presidential election.
Mark Webster will moderate the discussion. Mark is a nationally recognized strategic communication consultant for companies like Marriott, Audi and Roche, who formerly ran the congressional offices of Congressman Les Aspin and Tammy Baldwin.
The event will take place at Bishops Woods Centre, 13555 Bishops Court, Brookfield, in the first floor Presentation room on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, 11:30 a.m.-1 pm. It is open to the public for a nominal fee, free for AMA members. MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Following event Q&A at 1 p.m.
