Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 has hired Erica Chang as the organization’s new marketing and events coordinator. Primary responsibilities of the position include coordination and implementation of special events, fundraising and sponsorship fulfillment, and management of the organization’s social media channels.
Prior to her start at Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, Chang served as a Donor Development Associate at the Christian-based magazine Just Between Us where she led fundraising efforts and managed donor communications. Chang has also held administrative positions with Mount Mary University and Allendale Association.
Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 created the Marketing and Events Coordinator position in 2012 to ensure the future success of crucial downtown events that play a critical role in promoting Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. Chang will be responsible for organizing such events as Downtown Dining Week, Downtown Employee Appreciation Week and the Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival, as well as creating and maintaining strong and beneficial relationships with sponsors and fundraisers.
Chang graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a double major in Community and Nonprofit Leadership, and Communication Arts. She is also co-founder of Woven Promise – a textiles company.
