Join us in June as Futurist David Zach shares his insights on the future of Washington County for the next fifteen years and beyond. Instead of just fascinating and/or frightening forecasts, you’ll get a “toolkit,” a set of questions to ask on how to put all those fads and trends in a practical perspective. Following the keynote, local CEOs will discuss how upheavals like COVID-19, technology trends, and innovation are changing the face of Washington County and what you can do to remain relevant and competitive for the next two decades. Living and working virtually the past few months has provided a sneak peek into the year 2035, where managing virtual teams will be an everyday task for supervisors. How will businesses know if their workers are on task? They will need to begin preparing their managers now to successfully manage virtual teams by working with their learning institution. Partnering to prepare and train staff will be part of this inevitable change. Learning will become more flexible, with many platforms available to accommodate different learning styles, travel and work-based experiences will become learning options, with dual languages an expectation for many employees. Businesses will work closely with learning institutions, as employee trainings will be connected virtually to assess employee progress and portfolios. 2035 has a lot of development in store for Washington County, with endless possibilities!
