Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has hired Scott Turner to be the system’s next chief operating officer and executive vice president. Turner was one of multiple finalists identified through a national search process and will start his new role in January.
Turner will provide oversight for the Milwaukee and Fox Valley hospital operations, and Children’s specialty clinics throughout the state. He also will oversee Children’s Research Institute and provide strategic guidance as the health care environment continues to evolve. He is currently the executive director for University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, a 189-bed facility, and chief operating officer for University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, a 765-bed academic medical center.
Education: He holds a master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon.
