Kurt Spiering, FAIA of Milwaukee-based HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) has been elected to The College of Fellows of The American Institute of Architects (AIA). Spiering, FAIA, is vice president and national healthcare market sector leader in the Milwaukee office, where he directs an integrated approach to healthcare planning focused on lean strategies, evidence-based design, and the patient experience. “Spiering’s pioneering efforts and continued commitment to capturing, advancing and sharing knowledge has significantly influenced the planning and design of healthcare facilities worldwide,” said Raymond D. Greco, FAIA, Past North Central Regional Representative, AIA College of Fellows, who sponsored Spiering’s nomination. The AIA College of Fellows recognizes architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the architectural profession.
