GO Riteway Transportation Group is pleased to announce the addition of Steve McKinnon to its safety team as the new Regional Safety Manager.
His areas of responsibility include: supervision of the safety department staff, safety audits, DOT/FMCSA and OSHA compliance, risk management, crash investigation and preventability determination, and the development and implementation of effective safety training programs.
During his early career, McKinnon worked as a Distribution Operations Supervisor, District Loss Prevention Investigator, and Senior Investigator-Business Intelligence and Investigations. Most recently, Steve served as a law enforcement officer for 19 years and retired at the rank of sergeant with the Menomonee Falls Police Department. He has extensive experience and training in operations management, safety, risk assessment, leadership, investigations (crash, fraud, theft, financial), interviewing and interrogation, training and development, asset protection, critical incident management, performance evaluation, process improvement and project management.
He earned his B.S degree in Public Administration from Upper Iowa University and Master’s Degree in Business Administration/HRM from Concordia University. He is also a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and holds Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Forensic Interviewer professional designations.
