Beth Morrison

DeWitt Ross & Stevens recently announced that Beth T. Morrison of its Minneapolis office has been named the 2016 recipient of the firm’s Jack DeWitt Pro Bono Award. The award annually recognizes one attorney (or team of attorneys working on a matter) in the firm for his/her Pro Bono efforts.

Morrison has dedicated herself to providing as much legal assistance and leadership as she can to help stem domestic violence and sex trafficking throughout the state of Minnesota. She serves on the Board for the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project whose mission is to improve the legal system’s response to battered women and children, whether through the passage of new legislation, or the enforcement of current laws. She also volunteers her time offering free legal representation to low-income victims of domestic violence.

In addition, Morrison serves as President of the Women’s Rotary in Minneapolis and works to help children prepare for the Special Olympics as a volunteer at Gigi’s Playhouse, a national program and one-of-a-kind achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.

“Beth truly embodies all that the Jack DeWitt award stands for. We applaud her tremendous Pro Bono work and respect her willingness to go the extra mile for those in need,” said Bradley Fulton, President & Managing Partner at DeWitt.

The award is named after Jack DeWitt, one of the founding partners of DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. He passed away in 2012 at the age of 93.
