Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s board has appointed Tanya Atkinson to president and CEO of Wisconsin’s largest most trusted non-profit reproductive health care organization effective February 3, 2017.
Atkinson is currently the chief external affairs officer at PPWI, leading the teams responsible for government relations, community organizing, and external communication initiatives, and Embody – PPWI’s statewide educational programs. She began her career with PPWI in 2004, giving her a deep understanding of PPWI’s business, organizational partners and patient needs.
The strength of Atkinson’s leadership coupled with the commitment of Planned Parenthood’s board and expert staff puts PPWI in a strong position to ensure our patients are safe, healthy and strong – no matter what.
Education: Atkinson received her MSSW at the University of Wisconsin Madison and B.S. at Carroll University. She has also served as an adjunct professor at both Carroll University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
