Ivor J. Benjamin, MD, FAHA, professor of medicine and director of the Cardiovascular Center at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), has been named president elect of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Board of Directors. Dr. Benjamin, who previously served as chair of AHA’s research committee, will serve as president elect from June 2017 to July 2018, president for the 2018-19 term as past president from 2019-20.
