Foley & Lardner LLP

Foley & Lardner LLP, Milwaukee, has been recognized with a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Business (BFBSM) award by the League of American Bicyclists, joining nearly 1,200 visionary businesses from across the country. With the recent announcement of 72 new and renewing BFBs, Foley joins a cutting-edge group of 1,232 local businesses, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies in 49 states and Washington, D.C., that are transforming the American workplace.

Moving forward, Foley will have access to a variety of tools and technical assistance from the League to become even more bicycle-friendly. This dedication to becoming a more bicycle-friendly organization also transcends into a dedication to continue promoting a more bicycle-friendly community.

The recognition coincides with local bike sharing program Bublr Bikes’ recent milestone surpassing 50,000 rides since its launch in 2014. Bublr Bikes was co-founded by Bruce Keyes, an attorney in Foley’s Milwaukee office, and will have more than 55 stations in the metro area by the end of October, making it the largest bike share program among peer cities that include Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Nashville, Tenn., Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio.

“This award reflects our enthusiasm as a bike-friendly business, and our work toward a more bike-friendly community overall,” said Keyes, “Milwaukee as a whole is proving to be very supportive of bicycling and recognizing its benefits as an alternative mode of transportation.”
