LISC Milwaukee has hired Beth Haskovec as commercial revitalization program officer. She has over 15 years of community and economic development and nonprofit management experience. Her most recent role was as executive director of Artists Working in Education, where she strategically grew programs and organizational impact through aligning arts and culture with neighborhood development goals.
Previously, Haskovec focused on economic development on Milwaukee’s south side at Layton Boulevard West Neighbors. Her work included commercial corridor branding, small business technical assistance, and recruiting new business for the Silver City District. She is an alumna of the Peace Corps, Americorps, and the Milwaukee Forum. Haskovec will begin her new position on Feb. 1.
