Brad Smith has been promoted to Vice President – Musical Instrument Products (MI) at Milwaukee-based Hal Leonard. Smith joined Hal Leonard in 1993 and has worked primarily as the main contact for developing custom products for musical instrument manufacturers. Since 2009, Smith has led the rapidly growing MI Products division that markets and distributes third-party produced musical gear, software, gifts and accessories. By utilizing the Hal Leonard veteran sales staff and its strong marketing and fulfillment services, this division has grown to be a leading source for the MI industry who look for brand name products from one source. Smith also serves on the executive board of the Percussion Marketing Council (PMC) and will serve as president of the Guitar and Accessories Marketing Association (GAMA) starting in 2017.
