$40 million private school, athletic facilities proposed for Milwaukee’s south side

A $40 million private K-12 school has been proposed for a plot of land along South 5th Street and South 5th Place in Milwaukee.

The school, to be constructed in multiple phases, will also encompass athletic facilities and fields that will be open for public use, according to documents from Milwaukee’s Department of City Development.

The school would be located on the east and west sides of South 5th Street, south of West Harrison Avenue, and would create 65 jobs, according to city documents.

The owner of the school is listed as AEE LLC, of Pewaukee.

An application requesting the city amend zoning regulations at the school site from industrial-mixed and industrial-office to general planned development was filed by Jason Korb of Korb Tredo Architects Inc. last week.
