Zilber plans spec industrial building in New Berlin

Milwaukee-based Zilber Property Group plans to build a 54,000-square-foot speculative industrial building at the southeast corner of South Emmer Drive and Beloit Road in New Berlin.

The building will be built in the Towne Corporate Park of New Berlin, which was developed by Zilber Property Group (previously called Towne Realty). The building will be called Towne Industrial New Berlin I.

A vacant house on the site will be demolished to make way for the industrial building.

The project is still subject to review by city officials. Construction would begin shortly after approval by the city and would take 6-8 months to complete, said Zilber vice president Mike Mervis.

Zilber Property Group is confident that it take advantage of its existing relationships to find a tenant or tenants to fill the building, Mervis said.

“We always have someone in mind (as potential tenants for a spec project),” he said. “We’re constantly working the marketplace. That’s what we do best.”

Zilber Property Group also continues to look for spec industrial development opportunities in Kenosha and Racine counties, Mervis said.
