The Council of State Manufacturers Associations has elected Kurt Bauer, the president and chief executive officer of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, to chair the national organization for the next two years.

COSMA represents manufacturing trade associations in all 50 states and Peurto Rico. The group also partners with the Washington D.C.-based National Association of Manufacturers.
“Manufacturing is critical to the state and national economy, and I look forward to working with my colleagues across the country to strengthen the industry,” said Bauer.
Bauer is the third chief executive from WMC to lead COSMA, following Jim Haney and Paul Hassett.
