Wispark adds 3-acre site to Drexel Town Square project

Wispark LLC, the real estate development subsidiary of Milwaukee-based Wisconsin Energy Corp. recently purchased a vacant three-acre site at 8051 S. Howell Ave. in Oak Creek from Giuffre XX LLC for $1.6 million, according to state records.

The site will be added to the 85-acre former Delphi plant site southwest of Howell and Drexel Avenues, where Wispark is leading a development team to create a mixed-use downtown for Oak Creek.

The site acquired from Giuffre will be used for an entrance to Drexel Town Square off of Howell Avenue, said Wispark spokesman Brian Manthey. Some of the site may be available for retail development, he said.
