The 2010 Wisconsin State Fair begins today. According to Patrice Harris, director of communications and public relations for the Wisconsin State Fair, more than 72 different kinds of food on a stick, new exhibits and a roller coaster will be featured at this year’s Fair.
"We have so many new attractions for fairgoers," Harris said. "New exhibits at this year’s fair include the Dog Diving competition, the Days of the Dinosaurs exhibit and the $20,000 Rockin Remodel contest."
Richard Frenette was hired as the new executive director of the Wisconsin State Fair in February. He took the opportunity to observe and learn the corporate culture of the organization and hopes to build on the Fair’s success even more next year.
"Obviously the fair was well underway by February," Frenette said. "So I decided to take this opportunity to learn about the process and how it comes together. I’m looking forward to opening day today to learn even more."
The Wisconsin State Fair will run until Sunday, Aug. 15. Ticket information and admission deals are available at www.wistatefair.com.
