Wisconsin museum plays integral part in new hit movie

Several artifacts from Wisconsin’s Circus World Museum in Baraboo were used in the filming of the new movie ‘Water for Elephants’

Several artifacts from Wisconsin’s Circus World Museum in Baraboo were used in the filming of the new movie ‘Water for Elephants’ starring actors Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, and Christopher Waltz. The new movie, which depicts a screen adaptation of Sara Gruen’s best-selling historical novel about a depression-era circus, will debut in theaters on Friday, April 22. 
Steve Freese, executive director of Circus World Museum, worked closely with filmmakers and even got cast in a cameo appearance in the film when he accompanied the wagons to California.
