Wheaton Franciscan buys medical office building near St. Francis Hospital

Glendale-based Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare recently acquired a medical office building mostly occupied by Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group near Wheaton Franciscan’s St. Francis Hospital on Milwaukee’s south side, according to state records.

Wheaton Franciscan bought the 38-year-old, 43,924-square-foot medical office building at 2005-25 W. Oklahoma Ave. from Milwaukee-based real estate firm Zilber Ltd. for $3.9 million, according to state records.

The building has an assessed value of $4.83 million, according to city records.

“We have leased the building for many years and now we are the proud owner,” said Wheaton Franciscan spokeswoman Anne Ballentine. “Nothing is changing in terms of the services provided there.”
