Welcome to the second annual edition of WisconsinBiz

WisconsinBiz is a statewide publication from BizTimes Media. For most of the year, we’re the publishers of BizTimes Milwaukee and BizTimes.com, covering southeastern Wisconsin business news. Once a year, we have the privilege of bringing you a look at business throughout our great state, with any eye to spotting new developments and trends, and to highlighting the hard work being done across each of our 72 counties to grow a strong and vibrant economy.

In 2014, WisconsinBiz celebrates a new era of collaboration and innovation. Our theme this year is “Remaking Wisconsin,” and in this issue we explore the partnerships between business, academia and government that are turning great ideas into real economic growth – by creating a foundation for a stronger, more educated workforce and a robust, welcoming business climate.

I’d like to thank this year’s supporters, advertisers and especially our pillar partner/sponsors: Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC); the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP); Associated Bank; and the University of Wisconsin System. I also want to thank our cluster sponsors: the Milwaukee School of Engineering; and The Water Council. Each of these represents an important ingredient in the recipe for Wisconsin’s economic, educational and social success.
