Milwaukee-based TOPS Club Inc. will host its annual conference in Milwaukee from July 10 to 12. The weight loss organization, which stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly, expects 1,200 members to attend the conference.
The nonprofit, non-commercial weight loss, support and education organization was founded in 1948 and has about 150,000 members in the U.S. and Canada.
TOPS will host seminars, expert talks, walks and awards during the conference. Topics will include safe weight loss, childhood obesity and diabetes prevention and care. Carol Starr of Menomonee Falls will receive a special award for losing and keeping the weight off for 25 years.
The conference will be held at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.
