We need fiscal responsibility

The fiscal irresponsibility by President Barack Obama, the Democratic Party and its Wisconsin representatives, Gov. Jim Doyle and Mayor Tom Barrett, is only superseded by their myopic thinking in planning economic strategy.

The democratic strategy of irresponsibly increasing the deficit only benefits their political objectives of making the private sector and us, the people, subservient and dependent on them while impoverishing all, particularly the poor.

In Wisconsin, this has been shown as precisely neither Gov. Doyle nor Mayor Barrett have made the right decisions even five years ago which would have at least lessened the effects of the recession in our state and City of Milwaukee.

From the beginning of his term, President Obama should have focused on implementing a well-designed tax strategy that stimulates the business sector, increases demand for capital investments, rewards risk taking and increases employment as a result of increased productive capacity and increased labor demand.

All while investing in education and training, strategically using public spending, empowering people of all races to move from public assistance to sustainable jobs and helping them compete in a changing and demanding labor market.

Likewise, Mayor Barrett, Gov. Doyle and the Wisconsin Democratic leadership should have implemented similar strategies in Wisconsin while our state, assembly, and City of Milwaukee have been under their watch!

Their strategy has negatively affected all of us, but particularly African Americans and Hispanics in Wisconsin … the very same people they vowed to help when they were elected.
