WCTC instructor wins mold maker award

Bob Novak, an instructor at Waukesha County Technical College, has received the 2012 Mold Maker of the Year award from the Society of Plastics Engineers.

Novak was honored in the Mold Making and Mold Design Division for his betterment of the mold making industry. He has worked as an instructor at WCTC for 21 years, teaching machine tool operation, CNC programming and machining, mold making, mold design and other courses.
“This award is an incredible accomplishment for Bob,” said Mike Shiels, dean of WCTC’s Industrial and Engineering Technologies division. “The fact that he was chosen from mold makers all over the world is a testament to his skills and dedication to his craft. We are fortunate to have him guiding our Tool and Die/Moldmaking program.”
